Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have more than one weekly entry?

Yes, you can have up to 20 entries per each weekly draw.

Each £1 entry buys you one “chance” of winning in our lottery.

Can I choose my own lottery numbers?

No. Every entry into the draw is automatically allocated a unique lottery number. The odds of winning are fair and equal for every number. Once a number is allocated to a player it cannot be allocated again to another player.

How can I pay for my entries?

You can pay by Direct Debit or debit card online.

To join online via Direct Debit please click here.

If you would like to request a postal form then please contact the Unity helpline on 0370 050 9240 or complete our contact form.

Why is the price £4.34 per month when paying Direct Debit?

The monthly cost breakdown of £4.34 for playing the lottery is based on paying £1 per week over a 52 week year.

Direct Debits are only collected once a month, and sometimes there will be five weeks in a month and so the additional 34p required is to build up enough credit to cover the fifth week on these five-week months.

Are my entries eligible for Gift Aid?

Unfortunately payments for lottery entries are not eligible for Gift Aid.

If you would like to donate to the Royal Naval Association, please visit our website.

How can I check and see if I've won?

All winning members will be sent their prizes automatically by post each week directly following the draw.

You can also click here to check the results page on our website to see the winning sequence for each weekly draw.

How do I claim my prize?

The draw takes place every Friday. Once it has taken place, winners are notified by post or email.

If you match 4 digits or more, you will be sent your winnings automatically, either directly into your bank (if playing by Direct Debit), or via a cheque sent in the post.

If you match 3 digits you will be sent an email to confirm your win and your temporary 5 prize entry lottery numbers for the following week's draw.

How can I cancel my lottery membership?

You can cancel your membership in writing by sending a letter to:

What is the minimum age requirement to enter

How are the lottery proceeds used?

From every £1 played, Royal Naval Association receives 50p as profit to use for our charitable activity. The other 50p is split between covering prizes (18.4p) and lottery expenses (31.6p).

What are the odds of winning a prize?
